Unlocking the Silver Merchant early is one of the most useful economy upgrades in The Blood of Dawnwalker. Once his full services become available, you can sell silverware for a large amount of denarius and occasionally find legendary items in his inventory.
The merchant does not immediately offer his full services, however. You need to meet one of two requirements: complete the Into the Den mission or reach at least Infamy Level 4.
For an early playthrough, Into the Den is the faster route shown in the gameplay. The mission can be completed during or after the prologue and takes you from Lazlia Glenn to a nearby derelict village before finally unlocking the Silver Merchant in southern Zardra.

How To Unlock The Silver Merchant
The Silver Merchant will not provide his full services immediately.
According to the route shown in the gameplay, you can unlock him in either of two ways:
- Complete the Into the Den mission.
- Reach at least Infamy Level 4.
For players who want access to the merchant early, Into the Den is the more immediate option because the mission can be accessed during or after the prologue.
Start Into The Den At Lazlia Glenn
The first step in the early unlock route is traveling to Lazlia Glenn in the northern part of the map.
At this location, you need to defeat the wild bear shown in the mission route.
The bear itself is not the end of the objective. What matters is what you find immediately after defeating it.
Read The Note Behind The Bear
After defeating the bear, look behind its location for a corpse.
Search the body and read the note found on it.
Reading this note advances Into the Den and directs you toward the next part of the mission.
Do not leave the area before interacting with the note, because it is the step that progresses the route toward the nearby village.
Travel West To The Derelict Village
After reading the note, the mission takes you to a nearby derelict village farther west.
Once you arrive, pay attention to the house highlighted in the route.
The objective here is not simply to search every building randomly. You are looking for a specific visual clue inside one of the houses.
Find The Yellow X On The Wall
Enter the relevant house in the derelict village and look for a yellow painted X on one of the walls.
Spotting this marking allows you to interact with the buried treasure located below.
This is an important step because the treasure contains the next piece of information required to finish Into the Den.
Dig Up The Buried Treasure
After identifying the yellow X, interact with the buried treasure below the marked area.
The buried treasure contains another note.
Read this second note to complete the mission.
Once Into the Den is finished, you have met the early requirement needed to access the Silver Merchant’s full services.
Where To Find The Silver Merchant
After completing Into the Den, travel to the southern part of Zardra.
The Silver Merchant can be found here, and completing Into the Den allows you to use his full services.
If you did not complete Into the Den, reaching at least Infamy Level 4 is the other unlock condition mentioned in the gameplay.
Why You Should Unlock The Silver Merchant Early
The biggest reason to unlock the merchant is his ability to buy silverware.
The gameplay specifically recommends selling silverware to him because doing so can generate thousands of denarius.
That makes him especially useful if you have already collected silverware during exploration but have not had a strong reason to hold onto it.
Instead of leaving those valuables unused in your inventory, unlocking the merchant gives you a dedicated place to convert them into money.
The Silver Merchant Can Also Sell Legendary Items
The merchant is useful for more than selling valuables.
The gameplay notes that he also sells legendary items from time to time.
The video does not provide a fixed legendary inventory or a guaranteed refresh schedule, so it is better to treat these legendary offerings as an additional benefit rather than the main reason for unlocking him.
His most consistent value in this route is still access to full merchant services and the ability to sell silverware.
Fastest Silver Merchant Unlock Route
For an early playthrough, the route shown can be summarized as follows:
- Access Into the Den during or after the prologue.
- Travel to Lazlia Glenn in the northern part of the map.
- Defeat the wild bear.
- Search the corpse behind the bear.
- Read the first note.
- Travel west to the nearby derelict village.

- Find the yellow painted X on the wall.

Should You Use Into The Den Or Infamy Level 4?
Both conditions can unlock the Silver Merchant’s full services, but Into the Den is presented as the earlier route in the gameplay.
If you are still near the beginning of your playthrough, completing Into the Den gives you a direct path toward unlocking the merchant without waiting until you reach Infamy Level 4.
If you already have Infamy Level 4, however, there is no need to complete Into the Den solely for the merchant unlock condition.
Best Uses For The Silver Merchant
Once he is available, the merchant is most useful for:
- Selling accumulated silverware.
- Generating additional denarius from valuables.
- Checking his inventory for occasional legendary items.
Because of those benefits, unlocking him early can improve your economy without requiring a long late-game progression route.
