After obtaining your early equipment in The Blood of Dawnwalker, the next step is to continue upgrading Coen with additional gear, treasure rewards, and powerful weapons hidden around the mountain area.

Before continuing this route, make sure you already collected the stronger early sword from the previous cave area. The additional damage will make the enemy camp encounter much easier.
Reach The Enemy Camp For The Treasure Map
From the previous location, continue along the main road further up the mountain. This path will eventually lead you toward another fast travel point and a nearby house area where the bandits are located.
Before starting the encounter, it is recommended to create a manual save. The fight is not extremely difficult, but saving first prevents losing progress if something goes wrong.
Defeat The Bandits And Find The Renegade Bruiser
The bandit camp contains several enemies, but the main target you should focus on is the leader called the Renegade Bruiser.
This enemy has significantly more health than normal opponents, but defeating him provides valuable rewards.
Renegade Bruiser Rewards
- Rare pants upgrade.
- Broad Swing manual.
The Broad Swing manual is useful, but avoid learning it immediately during the prologue.
Activating the manual is fine, but learning it at a fast travel point consumes two hours of game time. It is better to save this for after finishing the prologue.
Find The Leslia Glenn Treasure Map
After defeating the enemies, collect the items around the area and enter the nearby house.
Inside, you can find the Leslia Glenn Treasure Map on the table.
How To Activate The Treasure Map
- Open your inventory.
- Select the Leslia Glenn Treasure Map.
- Activate the map.
- Open your regular map to reveal the treasure area.
Follow The Treasure Map To The X Location
Once activated, the treasure map reveals an X mark deeper in the mountain area.
Follow the marked route until you reach the treasure location at the end of the path.
Prepare For The Bear Encounter
During the journey to the treasure location, you will encounter a bear.
Create another manual save before starting the fight. With the Broadsword upgrade, this battle should be manageable.
Perfect parries can interrupt the bear’s attacks, allowing you to defeat it without taking unnecessary damage.
Collect Armor Upgrade And Treasure Rewards
After defeating the bear, there are two important rewards to collect:
- An armor upgrade from the nearby corpse.
- The hidden treasure buried further ahead.
Digging up the treasure rewards you with:
- Fortitude Paste recipe.
- Polished Long Cleaver.
Get The Polished Long Cleaver
The Polished Long Cleaver is one of the strongest weapons available during this stage of the prologue.
Together with the previous equipment rewards, it creates a powerful early setup that can carry you through the remaining opening missions.
